A multi-sport Patagonia adventure designed to coincide with the 2020 Solar Eclipse.

Discover the steaming volcanic craters and sparkling lakes that surround Pucon on an active five-day adventure in Chile’s Lake and Volcano district. Nestled on the shores of Lake Villarrica and watched over by the snow-capped peak of Villarrica Volcano, Pucon is a charismatic base for exploring the region, with a great choice of restaurants and easy access to hiking trails and white-water rafting.

Relax on the lakeside beaches while taking in the magnificent volcanic views before hiking through ancient Araucaria forests to visit one of the many stunning Andean lakes. Then embarking on a challenging climb to the smoking crater of Villarrica Volcano, which offers unsurpassed views across the region, or explore the solidified lava flows and caves at its base. End your adventure with a soak in the geothermal springs at Geometricas and a visit to the Pichi Llancahue Glacier that’s blanketed in black ash from the volcano.

Our Eclipse at Lake & Volcano District tours are designed with both adventure travellers and families in mind, with two different itineraries available. If you’re travelling with young children, opt for the Family Tour that includes an easy exploration of Villarica Volcano’s parasite craters and caves, while those with a good level of fitness can tackle the icy climb to the summit of the volcano on our Adventure Tour.
